After staying in Geelong for 10 days we decided to head to 'Prom Country' about 3-4 hours from Geelong in the Country South Gippsland region of Victoria. Actually this is were I (Tara) grew up for some of my life! As a kids I remember green rolling hills, chilly mornings and wearing gumboots everywhere I went (high rain falls)… We had the chance to show our kids a snippet of my experience as a kid…many memories!

We organised to stay at the Shallow Inlet camping reserve (found it in our Camps 6 book) which is passed the caravan park and is only $60 for 1 week (no power, but daily cleaned toilets!), and an absolutely BEAUTIFUL spot!

We found our own little cosy spot amongst tea-tree bushes and 20 meter walk to the beach where there was great fishing!

Green Hidden Treasures

There seemed to be a lot of hidden treasures around where we were staying and I say hidden because not many people (growing up in the area) had mention how wonderful some things are. We decide to walk up a mountain to get a BEAUTIFUL view of the farming land and the prom

....and we found this funny 'treasure' on the way… what a great idea!

5 Star Bush Bathroom

We recently brought - after 4 months on the road - a solar bag shower…. (we showed within these 4 months! ;-). Sam got creative and did his best at having a '5 star bathroom' ;-) THe solar bag works well, but only when it a sunny day. We will be getting creative with ways to have a warm shower with our 'upgrades' :-)

RED sunsets

Everyone loves a sunset. There is something inspiring about them that declares the end of a day and a new beginning to another - what a blessing that we get to experience these!

A BLUE Surprise

Over the weekend we planned to do a short walk to some old Lime Kilns in the ears - get some history of the area. As we travelled the road that we thought was leading us to we just felt so excited by us kind of driving into the ocean - well so it seemed.

We got to a the end of a 'no through road' and OH MY GOD… what an out of the BLUE surprise! There was the A-mazing ocean inlet that just had such a magical feeling to it.
We forgot about the lime kilns and we just KNEW we had to explore this beach and glad we did as we found numerous rocky walk through caves and rock pools full of life.
We ended up spending over 2 1/2 hours there (which we went expecting!) just exploring this magical place… we haven't experienced a beach like this yet!

And just look at this BEAUTIFUL RED star fish we found!
oh and the Lime Kilns… we found them LOL…. as we trued around after exploring all the the rocks and water and we saw them… "oh there are the lime kilns" LOL …. Love that about life… 2 wonderful surprises in one day!
We put this picture on our Facebook Page asking "Guess how we got this fish…?"
the story is that we were given it by some spear fisherman who we got chatting with… they caught sooooo many fish with their spears that they wanted to give us this one…. and my goodness it was soooooo yummy!

Shining some light on BLUE-NESS

More blue… blue is my favourite colour… maybe thats why i love the ocean/beach so much…. gold and blue, does it get any better?

We walked to an old lighthouse which - yes was 'just' a lighthouse BUT the 'feeling' with it and the views were incredible… see for yourself!
Crab Hunting

I love those moments in life where you just feel inspired to do something… and crab hunting with the kids was one of those things. We were on the beach just playing around in the water and sand while Sam fished and then we noticed al these little crabs everywhere… so we decide to run along the beach trying to catch them… 25 little crabs in total, the kiddies were thrilled!
And of course we released them…
One thing that I'm ever grateful for is the chance to do my work outside. Most my calls with my Inspired Women Clients are while soaking up the sun either on a beach or in a beautiful park - like below.
Our first pack up in the Rain

4 month on the road and we never had to pack up in the rain… we have had rain, but it always seems to be a dry day when we packed up ….. But now we are no longer virgins at packing up in the rain.

We embraced the experienced and made it fun! The kids played in the car which they seem to like to do when we are packing up :-) works well!

Appreciating the beautiful contrast as we travel to our next destination
So much can happen in one week! We look forward to sharing more inspiring adventures with you!

Get out there and do it!
