Holy moly! Sooooo much has changed since late november - all for the better. As you know we have been aiming to live our 'dream life' for a while now - traveling, living in our beautiful new camper trailer by
Jimboomba Camper Trailers. In later November Sam's job had ended and we thought that it would be the most perfect opportunity to bite the bullet - so to speak - and just hit the road and trust that everything will workout. It was a feeling soooo strong within us that this is what we needed to do - like in our
Freedom Family breakFree program interview with
Sarah & Chris Parent they say "If no now, when?" - For us, this was OUR TIME! Everything in our lives was pointing towards us "just doin it!"
Within a few days we decided to sell EVERYTHING that we owned (except for a few sentimental things and of course things that we would use on the road) - we only had 2 weeks to do all of this as we wanted to make it to
Victoria in time for christmas with our families. The last week of selling everything was very intense but so worth it!, Sometimes we felt a little concerned if the things we wanted to sell didn't sell "what would we do" (as we didn't want to use storage and really had no attachment and NEED for these things) but my biggest and most powerful feeling and 'knowing' was trusting that everything will work out perfectly - and it did!
From House to Camper Trailer
It was an interesting transition from house to camper trailer. We set up our camper in our backyard while we gradually moved stuff out of our (rental) house. The most intense experience was just all our 'stuff' there was so much 'stuff' that was just cluttering our house and our minds (in an emotional way). It was kinda like every time we got rid of something we could feel ourselves get lighter and lighter in an emotional way. It was truly a powerful experience! Suddenly everything we own was taken from us - but this is exactly the way wanted it to be! Funny contrast I think when some people think they need more 'things' and 'stuff' to have in their lives to 'value' themselves, but for us having less was defiantly MORE!
We drove from Ipswich, QLD to Coffs Harbour, NSW (5 hours) to stay right on the beach at
Sapphire Beach Caravan Park where we wanted to chill out for a few days and gather ourselves back together after the last 2 intense weeks. It was perfect! Great weather, fun building sandcastles on the beach (literally 100m walk from where we were camping) and discover some of the cool attractions around Coffs such as
The Big Banana - where we learnt that the banana plant is actually a herb & enjoyed some yummy banana treats, tobogganing & harvest tour! & the
Pet Porpoise Pool - where we got kissed by dolphins & seals, watched a fabulous dolphin and seal show and fed penguins! It was so much fun for us all!
The Moment of Realising That We are Actually LIVING our Dream life!Below is a moment that I wanted to share with our friends here and our followers - it was the moment of actually realising that our dreams are now our relaity. This video was recording just as we were heading out from Ipswich, QLD (where we were living) with everything we own in our 4WD and camper - it was an amazing moment and almost un-discribable, which you'll hear in the video. I'm sharing this with you and for us the moment was incredible and I wanted to inspire you to get excited about
YOUR dream life when you being to find and live it!
Our Adventures in Coffs Harbour, NSW Australia
Not enough time!
We decided on spending a week in getting to Victoria, ideally we could have spent months! LOL but we wanted to celebrate Christmas with our families and the great thing that we affirmed to ourselves is that we can travel wherever we like! We travelled all down the coast to Victoria it really is something specail. We had the chance to see friends and stay with them and see parts of the amazing coastline, where defiantly doing it again but in a much longer timeframe! Our 2nd stop was
Penrose, NSW where we were blessed to spend some time with friends and our kids had such fun painting, playing in sand pit and discovering their surroundings (in the middle of the bush - well so it seemed :-) We experienced some beautiful scenery, some messy painting & beautiful crisp mornings, rainbows like I've never experienced before, and fun watching our kids with sparklers! >>
The 2nd Best Caravan Park we have stayed at yet! From Penrose we traveled through Canberra (Australia Capital Territory), Through Bega (You know Bega Cheese?) right through to just past the beautiful Eden on the southern coast of NSW where we stayed at Tarthra at the 2nd best Caravan Park we have stayed at yet! Countryside Caravan Park was fabulous! The had fantastic facilities for everybody in our family! We only stayed one night (defiantly going back though) and we enjoyed there small animal farm where they had alpacas, goats, sheep, chooks and deer! They have fabulous play equipment for the kids - it was also great for my morning BodyRock workouts, where I planned my own workout with all the play equipment! They have a pool and a JUMPING PILLOW (our favourite)!!! Our dog Zeus enjoyed there full enclosed dog run - how cool! This park had everything we would have spent christmas there if we hadn't already committed! We left Tarthra crossing the Victorian border heading for
Gippsland, where we will spend Christmas. Love travelling! This is defiantly our perfect lifestyle for us at this time!
